Quality Policy

At the initiative of the Management of CITOGEN, and with the commitment and collaboration of all departments and personnel within the laboratory, a Quality System has been established and implemented based on the requirements of the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 Standard and the UNE-ISO 15189 Standard, as a Testing and Diagnostic Laboratory, covering all areas of work within the Laboratory:

UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025
UNE-ISO 15189

Management is committed to the Quality System, to the implementation of good professional practices and to achieving quality in the testing areas described above that CITOGEN performs for its clients. To this end, it relies on an organisational structure, procedures and processes aimed at achieving quality standards that are not limited to merely controlling the tests performed, but rather form part of a management system encompassing the entire organisation.

The purpose of the Quality System is to ensure the satisfaction of CITOGEN’s internal and external clients by meeting the established technical requirements, as well as the agreed deadlines and prices.

To achieve this, the Quality System has the following general objectives:

•  To perform analyses in accordance with the methodology established by the laboratory, ensuring their confidentiality, independence, impartiality, integrity and safety.
•  To provide our CLIENTS, both internal and external, with the best possible availability and performance of testing services.
•  To deliver test reports in accordance with our clients’ needs and in compliance with our specifications.
•  To comply with the established DELIVERY DEADLINES.
•  To adapt to developments and technologies in the market.
•  Continuous improvement of our TESTING PROCESSES AND METHODS.
•  CONTINUING TRAINING of CITOGEN personnel.
•  To ensure the TECHNICAL COMPETENCE of personnel.
•  To raise awareness and motivate CITOGEN personnel regarding the importance of implementing and developing a Quality System.
•  To maintain our QUALITY SYSTEM based on the UNE-EN ISO/IEC 17025 and UNE-ISO 15189 standards.
•  To act upon the risks identified within all processes in order to control any potential impact on results, prioritising patient and staff safety.

This Policy will be reviewed during Management reviews of the system to ensure its continued suitability in light of any changes occurring within CITOGEN.

Assurance that all personnel whose work influences quality are familiar with the Policy and the established objectives and put them into practice is achieved through communication by the Quality Manager at all levels of the organisation and through the distribution of the documents applicable to each level and workplace. Each employee must therefore assume responsibility for the quality of their own work.

The Management of CITOGEN shall be responsible for providing the resources necessary for the proper development and implementation of the Quality System, ensuring that all work is always carried out in accordance with the established methods.
